Chemin de Fer Essential Basics – Part 1
The main concept of the game is to be assigned cards totaling up to twenty one. Each competitor is handed 2 cards. When a player is handed a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been dealt every player at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is provided the chance to make 1 of 6 choices:
Taking another card (Hit): When a blackjack player announces hit me the dealer will give him another card, if the adding of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the player will have busted and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the value of the hand to 21 the black jack player wins and if the total has not yet achieved 21 they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a black jack player is happy with the hand they will hold. Once this has happened the dealer will display his/her cards and the gambler who has accumulated twenty one or the nearest to 21 will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A player may ask to double down which doubles the bet they have laid. Once you have taken this procedure you can only receive 1 more card. The details of doubling down are usually out lined by the table or betting house game rules so before betting be certain you’re familiar with the casino rules. If you’re wagering at a net casino this is normally quite simple.
